This workshop is geared towards helping the jewelry hobbyist and hand-crafter to start their own jewelry business. It is a practical, insightful, crash course on what you need to know to get your business started, start selling and grow your jewelry business. We will discuss the EVERYTHING FROM SOUP TO NUTS on how to get started, production, marketing & sales, financial management and day to day operations and get you bringing in income from your jewelry making quickly. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a professional business and sell your designs. I will teach you what I have learned over the past four years.
Topics include:
• Getting Started – setting up your business (taxes & licenses in the DMV)
• Marketing & Merchandising – differentiating yourself
• Pricing
• Making Money – pros and cons of selling retail, wholesale, consignment & online
• Managing the Money including accepting credit cards, organizing your financial records and tracking your business finances
• Managing Production, Suppliers & Inventory – buying wholesale
• Customer Service & Policies
